Apperian Adds New Secure Enterprise Email Management Feature Now for iOS 6

New Feature Allows IT Departments to Give Employees Access to Apple's Excellent Mail Apps

BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/20/12 -- Enterprise mobile application management (MAM) pioneer, Apperian, today announces support for iOS 6 and the launch of its secure enterprise email management with provisioning and de-provisioning capability for enterprises using Microsoft Exchange. This new feature, which is part of Apperian's Enterprise App Services Environment (EASE) platform, takes advantage of the native mail, calendar, and contact apps on the iOS device.

IT departments no longer have to deploy and manage solutions that rely on separate mail, calendar & contact apps. With over 300 million* iPhones & iPads sold, IT departments need a secure way to help their employees to provision their devices for use with corporate email. For provisioning, users launch an "app" which automatically sets up their corporate email account on their device with the proper server name, port, username, etc.

Apperian's de-provisioning gives IT departments the ability to remotely and completely remove all of the user's corporate mail, calendar, and contact information, along with any cached data, leaving any personal information untouched.

"With the latest release of iOS 6 and the new iPhone 5, users will expect and want to use the great Apple apps for email, calendar and contacts. Our new email provisioning and de-provision feature gives IT departments the security they need to allow employees to use those apps knowing the data can be removed at any time," said Alan Murray, Senior Vice President of Products at Apperian.

To learn more about these new iOS 6 features, join Carlos Montero-Luque, CTO at Apperian, and Jeremy Debate, Cloud Solutions Architect, as they discuss the latest product updates, Wednesday, September 26th at 1:00 PM ET.
